12 Yard Productions

12 Yard Productions is one of the leading format creators and producers in the UK. Formed by the team behind the BBC's 'Weakest Link', the International Emmy and Rose d'Or winning team has continued to develop new and innovative entertainment and reality formats, including the hit show 'Eggheads'.

Originally built by Sumobaby in 2001 using Adobe Flash, the 12 Yard website has steadily evolved. The current incarnation of the site is primarily build in HTML and using CSS. However, the most notable feature is a bespoke CMS, which enables 12 Yard to self-manage much of their site, including a comprehensive contestant application form, news, programme information and a subscription-based promotional showreel area.

In addition to the administration to the site, a general knowledge game was created based on 12 Yard’s popular TV series, ‘Eggheads’, presented by Dermot Murnaghan.
